Day Shift Trucking Dispatcher

Dover, OH 44622
The Day Dispatch position will act as a resource to truck and vehicle operators as well as the public. The position will perform a variety of operational, recordkeeping, and clerical tasks within clearly defined guidelines and established procedures. The scope of work extends to other waste management services operations at the landfill, transfer stations, well sites, and recycling facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
-
Experience working in a trucking operation, with concentration in dispatching.

Waste experience, preferred.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to understand and interpret data.
Responsibilities and Duties:
-
Effectively and timely dispatch trucks from our facility to well sites and/or our various transfer facilities.

Determine the type of material being requested for pick up while ensuring all approvals are in place.

Ensure that all trucks are working efficiently for meeting customer needs and managing company costs.

Relay information to maintenance for truck issues from drivers for road calls.

Effectively manage multiple communications and coordinate with operations to promptly satisfy customer requests.

Develop trucking schedule daily, maximizing the efficiency of the fleet.
