Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing processes and operations in a company to increase productivity, boost efficiency, reduce production costs and improve product quality, while ensuring the standards of employee safety, environmental standards and government regulations are met. They find new, faster, and less wasteful methods in the production of goods to save the company valuable resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer
- Strong skills in Process Mapping and Business Process Reengineering
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and workflows
- Experience developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
- Experience in waste management from a commercial or regulatory standpoint
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess processes, systems, and operations to identify areas in which resources are wasted and areas in which improvements can be made to improve output quantity
- Apply engineering methods and scientific principles to improve systems, system integration and company operations
- Design or redesign facilities, equipment, systems such as information systems and processes such as quality assurance
- Make simulations of supply chains and process flows by using computer-aided engineering (CAE) and computer-aided design (CAD)
- Research problems by studying simulations, analyzing quantitative data and observing the problems that need to be improved by actions, such as watching an assembly line in a factory
- Reduce waste by coordinating materials, machines, and labor and creating systems that are more efficient in relation to energy consumption, cost, and product quality
- Other projects as assigned by supervisor
