Kimble Company is looking for a Scalehouse Operator and Dispatch to work out of our Dover, OH location .

Kimble Clay and Limestone, a State of Ohio qualified aggregate supplier, operates mining sites using advanced, high production processing equipment for enhanced quality, consistency, and availability. Kimble Clay and Limestone supplies a full array of crushed limestone and clay products for commercial and retail markets. We also provide sandstone, landscaping stone, agricultural lime, mulch, topsoil, and cinders.

The Scalehouse Operator and Dispatch is responsible for attending to truck scales and determining volumes and weight of loads, collecting gate fees, maintaining accounting records, and acting as a resource to truck and vehicle operators as well as the public. This individual will perform a variety of operational, recordkeeping, and clerical tasks within clearly defined guidelines and established procedures. The scope of work extends to other waste management service operations at the landfill, transfer stations, well sites, and recycling facilities.
Responsibilities and Key Objectives:*

  • Attend scales that weigh and record recycling loads and solid waste loads, both inbound and outbound. Generate scale tickets for all inbound/outbound loads and enter various designated information into a database (PC Scales, Tower).
  • Effectively and timely dispatch trucks from our facility to well sites as requested by customers to meet their needs. Determine the type of material being requested for pick up and ensure all approvals of material are in place. Ensure that all trucks in route are working efficiently for meeting customer needs and managing company costs.
  • Schedule, route and sequence roll offloads to the driver’s routes daily.
  • Reply to all Oil & Gas companies' e-mail and voicemail requests for drill cuttings and roll off requests. Also, provide ETA’s for when trucks will be on site and to continuously update the pads if there are changes in those times.
  • After receiving approval from a Supervisor, call Brokers as needed to coordinate the shuttling of our trailers from a drop-off site to our landfill.
  • Inspect incoming loads to verify the material is what was scheduled for pick up. Inspect loads to identify the material as liquid or solid and direct the drivers to where the material needs emptied at our site. Make sure all work orders and manifests are accurately completed and signed.
  • Determine proper disposal fees based on defined formulas and other established criteria
  • Provide positive customer service by answering a variety of questions and complaints from the drivers and public concerning disposal/recycling processes; direct customers to appropriate location/resources based on requests; direct trucks and vehicles to appropriate unloading/processing areas.
  • Enter and retrieve data and prepares reports from an online and/or personal computer system (PC Scales, Tower) following established formats; review computer-produced reports for accuracy and corrects as required.
  • Type/word process a wide variety of materials, correspondence, memoranda, and/or reports including numerical calculations and spreadsheets, notes, and/or brief instructions utilizing Word, Excel and/or other designated software products as specified.ing loads to verify the material is what was scheduled for pick up.
