The Perfect Job Fit

Stacy went to school to become a graphic designer, until she was drawn to a new interest. While working for her dad in his waste disposal business, she started running the heavy equipment, and she loved it. Eventually, this became more than a short-term job. It became her career.

The business her dad started was bought by Kimble, and Stacy found a new home there, doing a job she enjoys.

A Team of Support

Stacy loves being a heavy equipment operator. She also appreciates the teamwork that’s so common with her coworkers.

“I’ve worked with quite a few of my coworkers for a lot of years now, and I would say we’re not just coworkers – we’re friends,” she says.

When things get busy, the entire Carrolton transfer station works as a team to gets things done. For example, Stacy says if someone is out sick, everyone pitching in to get the job done is a given.

It’s not just the coworker interaction Stacy enjoys on the job. She likes helping Kimble customers who come to the transfer station with their trash or recycling.

“There are a lot of elderly customers who stop in, and I like to help them unload,” says Stacy.

The Benefits of Working for Kimble

Stacy has good things to say about working for Kimble. She says the company offers great pay and benefits.

One of the benefits that stands out from the usual compensation is that she feels treated with respect and valued by the company. Those benefits are additional reasons to continue to call Kimble her work home.

Recycling for a Better Future

Working for a waste disposal company means Stacy has a direct hand in recycling efforts. As she is involved in recycling, both through her job and as a consumer, she feels good about the contributions she is making.

“I try to do what I can at home in addition to my work with the recycling at the transfer station. I like to do anything that helps the environment, and it’s nice to know my job is helping make that happen,” she says.

“I have been with Kimble almost 11 years,” says Stacy, a heavy equipment operator who runs Kimble’s Carrollton transfer station. She oversees the loading and dividing of trash and recycling, running the equipment needed to do the job.

The transfer station is one of several where Kimble trucks unload. The refuse is divided between waste and recycling and then all goes to the appropriate disposal or recycling location.
