A Commercial Service Technician is accountable for properly and safely performing the tire and related services needed for all commercial tire users.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge of tire patterns and material composition
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods
• Basic computer skills necessary
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check

Responsibilities and Duties:

• The Tire technician position is responsible for ensuring all vehicles utilized by Kimble are safety- checked with the tires that are installed
• Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health
• Mount and dismount tires used for fleet vehicles
• Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves
• Installing new tires
• Balancing tires and completing wheel alignment procedures
• Studding tires for snow use
• Retreading tires for tractors and other off-road vehicles
• Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment and alert Maintenance Manager of any needs
• Conduct parking lot checks on fleet vehicles to ensure safety standards
