Commercial Tire Technician

A Commercial Service Technician is accountable for properly and safely performing the tire and related services needed for all commercial tire users.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of tire patterns and material composition
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods
- Basic computer skills necessary
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
Responsibilities and Duties:
- The Tire technician position is responsible for ensuring all vehicles utilized by Kimble are safety- checked with the tires that are installed
- Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health
- Mount and dismount tires used for fleet vehicles
- Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves
- Installing new tires
- Balancing tires and completing wheel alignment procedures
- Studding tires for snow use
- Retreading tires for tractors and other off-road vehicles
- Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment and alert Maintenance Manager of any needs
- Conduct parking lot checks on fleet vehicles to ensure safety standards
