  • Computer Aided Design Technician

    Location: 3596 State Rt. 39 NW, Dover, Ohio

    We are seeking a candidate with experience in civil design using ServCADD/Carlson  (advanced mining module) or comparable software for mining, landfill and oil/gas well operations.  This position will require technical proficiency, organizational skills and communication in a team environment.

    The responsibilities of the CAD Technician will include the following:

    • Utilize data obtained from surveys to provide civil as built plans and future design 
    • Integrate survey data into existing AutoCAD design contours and GIS mapping systems
    • Work with surveyor to convert multiple types of survey data into surfaces that can be utilized for future civil design of undeveloped sites
    • Compute earthwork volumes using survey data to satisfy regulatory and design needs
    • Create phased civil construction planning drawings from existing as built drawings
    • Provide design surfaces to the managers of civil engineering operations in order to guide heavy equipment operations with survey equipment
    • Integrate all drawings into existing drawing and document management database; keep organized files for each project in accordance with company policies
    • Read and interpret legal land descriptions from deeds, leases, easements and other instruments to establish site plans and maps
    • Work both independently and as a member of a team in both field and office settings
    • Develop site plans from design surfaces to provide executive management overall progress reports and meet regulatory requirements

  • GIS Specialist

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    Design

    • Prepares designs, drawings and layouts working from engineering specifications using CAD methods  
    • Work with CAD system creating, modifying and releasing drawings and word drawings for use by various departments within the company.
    • Use of ESRI/ArcGIS to digitize polygons representing land assets
    • Design methodology to complete a project and produce a final product
    • Develops design modifications to facilitate improvements to accommodate modifications to existing and new infrastructure.
    • Evaluates engineering analysis for the coordination of the final map
    • Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and perform design drafting.

     GIS software

    • Utilize GIS techniques and software to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location
    • Collect, manage, create and edit spatial data for incorporation into analysis, graphic displays, maps, and simulations
    • Working with general land data to integrate with ESRI/ArcGIS
    • Provide support mapping data and analysis upon request
    • Creating presentation quality maps and plot them using large format plotting equipment
    • Translate hard copy or computer generated data into GIS
    • Create maps from source data, such as land records, mapped legal descriptions, etc.
    • Conduct data gathering, conversion, analysis, manipulation and processing of spatial data using computerized GIS
    • Monitor mapping work and the updating of maps in order to ensure accuracy, the inclusion of new and/or changed information, and compliance with rules and regulations
    • Communicates with Engineering and Oil and Gas Department effectively to disseminate information.
    • Knowledge of mapping and GIS software applications including ESRI ArcGIS

    Database management

    • Modify existing database through geoprocessing

     Knowledge of:

    •  GIS principals and mapping programs including ESRI ArcGIS and GPS technology 

    Prior work experience:

    • Prior employment experience in the Oil & Gas industry
    • Minimum of two years' experience with GIS/CAD or other computer mapping technology 

     Language

    • Language skills include the ability to analyze and communicate effectively, including but not limited to the ability to compose concise procedures, memos and emails. Must be able to read and write fluently in English
    • Strong interpersonal skills

     Computer

    • Strong understanding of industry standard software including advanced computer skills are necessary (data entry/ability to learn and analyze new applications).
    • Knowledge of GPS hardware and software, and the integration of GPS data into GIS software

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, planning, ecology, environmental science or related field, or demonstrated equivalent ability and/or experience. 1-2 years' experience with midstream oil and gas is preferred

    Minimum 3+ years of Cartographic experience, including experience using ArcGIS and mapping results of ecological and/or cultural resources field surveys

    Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and the principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

    1. Considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles. Ability to drive and operate the equipment under varying working conditions.

  • Maintenance Helper - Twinsburg

    Location: 8500 Chamberlin Rd, Twinsburg, Ohio

    Kimble Companies is growing and we are in need of Maintenance helper for our Twinsburg Recycling Facility. We are looking for an energetic, upbeat and enthusiastic individual who has previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment and the ability to think outside the box for solutions. This position supervises the daily maintenance activities of the recycling center while ensuring operating procedures and excellent work standards are being met.

    • Ensure maximum productivity and establish productivity improvement goals are met where needed.
    • Interact with employees and Line leader to ensure efficiencies on the line and the transfer station
    • Assist the Maintenance supervisor with planning in the maintenance of the plant including repair and installation of all electronic, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
    • Maintain listing of repairs for all equipment requiring service.
    • Maintain equipment, minimizing downtime and assuring safe operating condition for the waste disposal and recycling business units.
    • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and implements effective repair. Performs duties of other shop personnel as required.
    • Oversee parts usage and replacement. Monitor status of parts orders for repairs and special projects.
    • Strong follow through on programs to repair and maintain all equipment.

    Mechanically inclined and have a knowledge of OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations.

    Prior work experience:

    • Previous Shop experience or Manufacturing experience
    • Previous recycling experience or related industry work a plus
    • Previous production manufacturing experience a plus
    • Prefer proficiency in Welding & Fabricating

    The Mining Engineer is responsible for directing engineering activities in mining, construction projects and other areas as needed. Provide reserve evaluations, mine planning, cut and fill direction and project expansion studies. Provide short and long range mine plans, mine design and equipment utilization.

    Duties

    • Develop and maintain 3D Geologic Models of assigned permits using planning software
    • Perform mine surveying
    • Work with operations personnel in the development of mine engineering plans
    • Establish working budgets and accounting for each project

    • B.S. Degree in Mining Eng. is preferred. Will consider Civil Engineers with five+ years of Mining exp.

    This position will perform storeroom and inventory related duties proficiently and accurately.

  • Tote and Container Washer - Canton

    We are looking for a person to wash the carts and containers and to be our general labor person for our Canton shop. This person will be responsible for washing the carts and containers along with any miscellaneous general labor that needs to be done in the shop.
