Kimble: All for One
Working with a team you can count on is important. It's what Joe M. appreciates about his job as a mechanic for Kimble.
"Corny as it sounds, we're kind of a family," says Joe, who has been with Kimble for the past three years.
Friendly Atmosphere
Joe has worked for other waste removal companies, but he feels Kimble offers a less corporate, friendlier atmosphere. He appreciates things Kimble does for employees, such as a company cookout last summer.
He also likes the opportunity to make a difference.
"When Kimble gets letters of thanks from customers, I feel good knowing that we’re keeping the trucks on the road and communicating with the drivers to make sure everyone has what they need," says Joe. "I try to go the extra mile."
A Good Group
Teamwork. A laid-back environment. Comradery. These are things that Joe enjoys working as a mechanic at Kimble.
"It’s just a really good group. We work together, eat lunch together and hang out together," says Joe.
If someone is having a problem, other mechanics chip in and help out. If a new mechanic joins the team, the more experienced mechanics are all willing to help. Joe feels like everyone is there to support the group.
Sharing Knowledge
With the strong team work ethic in the mechanics department, Joe knows he has coworkers he can count on and trust. That’s a huge benefit, and it contributes to his job satisfaction.
"Working together is a good way to share knowledge," says Joe. "It’s important when you work side-by-side every day like we do."
